Studies on the Fluid Chemistry in the Fushime Geothermal System, Japan

چکیده
The Fushime field is characterized by a high temperature reservoir ( e x d n g 350 "C ) and high salinity. The some fluids collected from eleven prochction wells also show acidic pH (lower than pH4.5). The chloride concentration rdcu la ted by using a Na-K-Ca geothermometer ranges from 1 1600 to 22000 mg/kg in the reservoir. Furthermore, K, Ca and SiO, concentrations were higher and Mg, SO, concentrations were extremely lower when compared to the seawater value. Some fluids showing a low pH had a comparatively high concentraticn af metal ions such as Pb and Zn. As a result, sulfik minerals such as galena and sphalerite were precipikted in pipelines and on control valves duringa discharge test. Isotopic data indicate that the fluids were mixed between local meteoric water and altered seawater. The fluids contain noncondensible gases with less than 1 .O vol %, and the most dominant gas is CO, which ranges from 17.3 to 284 mmol/kg in steam. Judging from non-reactive gas composition such as N2. Ar, and He, it is probable that the fluids contain very little crustal or magmatic gas.

Thermoeconomic Analysis and Parametric Study of Geothermal and Biomass Source ORC, Dual Fluid and Hybrid Power Plants
In this paper, we have continued doing a research project which had done previously. Three types of power plants include an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), a Dual-Fluid-Hybrid (DFH) and a single-fluid hybrid-fueled (HYB); were re-modeled. After model validation, thermodynamic studies and exergy analysis were extended for the defined cases using the first and second laws of thermodynamics. Then the...

Recently Debates about Energy and the issue of global warming have led to the use of new energy. One of the best options for this purpose is the use of a new hybrid system of power, heating and refrigeration, with its thermal source of solar and geothermal energy. In the present study, used a combined cooling, heating and power system based on the organic Rankine cycle and the Ejector Refrigera...
متن کاملModeling Geochemical Processes in Enhanced Geothermal Systems with Co2 as Heat Transfer Fluid
The concept whereby heat is recovered from a geothermal reservoir by replacing the native aqueous phase with essentially pure high-pressure carbon dioxide as the working fluid is referred to as an Enhanced Geothermal System with CO2 (EGSCO2). The concept has yet to be tested in the field, and the chemical consequences, both within the reservoir itself, and at its periphery, are not fully unders...
متن کاملOrigin of Catalytic Activity Differences between Phosphine and Phosphine Oxide-Based Structures in the Water-Crosslinkable Polyalkoxysilane Composition
Organocatalysts have attracted enormous interest in the water-crosslinking reaction in silane-grafted polyolefins (SGPOs) system owing to their simplicity, low toxicity and environmentally benign nature compared to organotin catalysts, which are most used in SGPOs system. We focus on organophosphorus compounds including four structure types as organocatalysts; phosphoric acids, phosphoric ester...
متن کاملThe Effects of Regular Fluid Secretion from the Uterus of Laying Hens on the Longevity and Fertilization Ability of Fowl Sperm in the Oviduct
The aim of this study was to examine whether the secreted fluid from the uterus influences the survival and fertilization capacity of fowl sperm in the hen oviduct. Hens with either regular uterine fluid secretion or irregular uterine fluid secretion were artificially inseminated through the transfer of sperm into the uterus. Twenty-four hours after artificial insemination, 3 hens with regular...
